Shared on his Instagram page with a touching caption reading: “Idk where to start. About 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with a cancer that had never been seen before. Throughout all the physical and emotional suffering, the last thing I wanted was for strangers to feel bad for me just by looking at me. Instead of hiding my bald head under a beanie, I embraced it. I found confidence through my sense of style. As long as I had my new Jordan’s on, everything would be okay. Sneakers and fashion became a way for me to escape the reality of cancer. Now fast forward a few years, I have my own pair of Air Jordan 1s that have never been seen before. This is much more than just a sneaker. To me, this is a symbol of my fight. These sneakers are the literal light at the end of the tunnel.”
Thanks to Make-A-Wish foundation, he was able to bring his Air Jordan 1 to life. Having a “Black Toe” theme the shoe is highlighted with debossed Wings and sword logo on the upper collar and ankle, respectively. 3M Reflective detailing with a Gold Jumpman and Swoosh hangtags completes the design.
